Before you install a printing ribbon, make sure that the printer driver is suitably configured.
Tattoo printers accept cards with thicknesses from 0.25 to 0.76 mm, while adjustment for card thickness is performed automatically.
You can choose from 2 different modes of collecting cards in this hopper:
First, an automated eject mode. In this case, you are advised to use the detachable hopper supplied with the printer.
Or a manual feeding mode. The card will be retrieved manually once it is personalized.
You can set how cards will be ejected from the Properties menu of the printer driver.
Please note that the print head is a delicate part of your printer. To avoid any damage to it:
Please note that violating any of these recommendations could cause permanent damages to the print head.
You can expect these rollers to be dirty, as the result of doing their job efficiently.
Open the printer cover.
Remove the ribbon.
Locate the cleaning roller and remove it from its housing.
Use a cleaning wipe provided by Evolis.
Remove any dust by gently rubbing the wipe across the roller’s surface.
Once the roller is clean and dry, place it back in the printer and make sure it is in its appropriate position.
Then, set the ribbon back and close the printer cover.
Remove the printer feeder.
Clean the roller with the wipe by gently rubbing it.
Then, reattach the feeder to the printer and push it until it clicks in its slot.
The printer is now available.
Wait a couple of minutes before using the printer until the cleaning product has fully evaporated.
Cleaning the insides of the printer is required every 400 cards processed cards, when the cleaning LED alerts you.
