How do I install a new printing head?

Evolis printing heads are easy to install thanks to their " Push-turn " system. This system enables any printing head to be replaced without tools.

Stage 1

Remove the faulty head
      1. Open the head arm
      2. Press the metal plate located under the head arm to release the head
      3. Pivot the two forks (on either side of the printing head) to release it from its housing
      4. Disconnect the cable from behind the head

Install Print Head in card printer.

Stage 2

Installing a new head
      1. Insert the cable in its housing
      2. Keep the head vertical in the two guides
      3. Pivot the head to clip it in the metal piece
      4. Close the hood ; the head is now installed

Stage 3

Setting up the printing head
      1. Make sure the printer is turned on and connected to a computer
      2. In the Driver click on the "Tools" tab.
      3. Enter Pkn; kit number (without spaces) in the section "Direct printer control" The kit number is on a label on the printing head

Example: If the Kit number is : 179-004-00048, it is necessary to enter Pkn;179-004-00048

If the printing head kit number has not been correctly set up, it may cause malfunctioning.
